Beetroot halwa



                      Beetroot halwa is very simple to make and also    
                           tasty.My son's favorite sweets.

Ingredients:

Beetroot .........2 medium size( 250 gm )
Milk.................1/2 cup
Sugar..............1cup
Cardamon.......no (powdered)
Ghee...............1-2 tbsp
Cashew nuts...5-6 nos

Preparation:

 In the cooker ,cook the beetroot with 1 cup of water for 1 whistle and simmer the flame for 5 minutes.

Once the cooker is cooled, remove the beetroot,peel
the skin and  grate it.

Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add cashew nuts and roast it.

Once it becomes golden brown remove from the pan and keep it.

Add grated beetroot and milk in the pan.
When beetroot becomes thick,add sugar, cardamom powder  and mix it well.
Once the sugar syrup bubbles up, add 1 tbsp ghee and remove from the pan. 

Garnish with fried cashew nuts.
