Kadai Tandoori chicken

I have been having Tandoori chicken for a long time and I am a big fan of it. My husband, sons and daughter-in-laws  are no less of a fan less than myself. I have always failed to try this due to non-availability of Tandoor Stove. One day an idea struck why not to try it with my conventional means with the tandoori masala.

And VOILA here you go I have created a new recipe once again.

A simple way to have tandoori chicken and fried chicken all together at the same time..

Ingredients:

Chicken ------------------------1 k (6 pieces)
Curd ----------------------------1 1/2cup
Ginger garlic paste -----------2 tbsp
Chili powder ------------------3tbsp
Cumin powder  ---------------1 tsp
Coriander powder ------------1tbspp
Garam masala powder -------1tsp
Fennel powder ----------------1tsp
Kasthuri methi-----------------1tbs
Red food color--
Oil ----------------------------2-3 tbsp
Salt --------------------------- to taste

Method :

Take a bowl, add  all ingredients except chicken and
mix well to a paste.Add the chicken pieces
and keep aside for 1 hour.

Cook this marinated chicken in the cooker
without adding water) for one whistle
and simmer for
3-5 minutes.

Once cool down, transfer he chicken pieces into the kadai
and roasted till brown in color.

Serve hot with sliced onion and lemon juice.

Wow! Looks great - will taste great too, I'm sure.
Query from Selvi - Simmer for how many minutes?
(My answer - Who cares as long as it tastes as good as it looks)
