Appam ( without yeast )


                              


In this recipe I used fenugreek seeds for softness.Uthappam is also made with this batter. Make appam with this batter. Appam goes with well with Coconut milk  and  sugar or any chutney. 

Ingredients:

Rice. ……. ………………………..….4cup
Urad Dal………………………………1/8 c..
Cooking soda. ……. ……………........1pinch
Salt…….. …………………………….to taste


 Method:

Soak rice, urad dal,and fenugreek seeds in water  separately for  2-3 hours.
Grind nicely and mix together with salt. Keep the batter overnight for fermentation.

 

After fermentation, add cooking soda,  water so as to make the batter of loose
consistency and easily pour able.




 Make appam with this batter.


 

Appam goes with well with
Coconut milk  and  sugar or any chutney.
