Kuzhambu with pachai mochai and vegetables




                  


Ingredients:

                                    



 pachai  mochai-----------------1cup

Drumstick------------------------10 no s(2 inches  cut pieces )

Brinjal---------------------------2 no s (each cut in 6 no s)

Tomato--------------------------2 no s(finely cut)

Small onion-----------------------1 cup (skin peeled)

Chili powder----------------------2tbsp

Coriander powder----------------1tbsp

Turmeric powder-----------------1/4tsp

Fennel seeds powder-------------2 tsp

Coconut paste---------------------1/2 cup (coconut +5-6 no cashew nut)

Salt---------------------------------as needed

Oil----------------------------------2tbsp

For tempering

Cinnamon(pattai)----------------1 inch

Cardamom------------------------2 no

Fennel seeds----------------------1 tsp

Oil----------------------------------2tbsp

Method
 
                                

Heat a cooker in medium flame ,add 2 tbsp oil, small onion.


                                 



Moochai, drumstick, brinjal (any vegetables), tomato and sauté for a minute.
                                                                                                   
                                                                                                    
                                        

 Add chili powder, coriander powder, fennel seeds powder. turmeric  powder ,Salt and sauté for a minute.


                             
  
Then add 2 cups of water, close the cooker lid and cook for 1 whistle and simmer the flame for 2 minutes.

                                    


 Once the cooker cool down, open the cooker lid and allow to boil.


                                   
                             
                       
Add coconut paste ,after  1 or 2 minutes remove the flame.

                  


Heat a small pan, tempering with  2tbsp oil, pattai, cardamom, fennel seeds
